Tooth Extraction and socket evaluation
During your visit, our oral surgeon will perform the Tooth Extraction and assess the site. If bone preservation is indicated, we’ll recommend performing the Ridge Preservation immediately after the tooth is removed.
A Bone Grafting material is placed into the empty socket to help maintain bone height and width. This graft can come from several sources, including synthetic or donor material. A membrane or collagen plug may be placed on top to protect the area.
Over the next few months, your body naturally integrates the graft material, forming new bone in the area. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions and follow-up appointments to monitor your healing.
Next steps for restoration
Once the area has healed, you may be ready for a Dental Implant or another restorative option. Ridge Preservation makes this process more predictable by preserving the necessary bone volume.
